Car overheating in Sharjah traffic, who do you trust to fix it?
This has been driving me crazy for a week now. My Nissan Altima starts overheating only when I'm stuck in slow traffic on the Sharjah roads, but the moment I get on the highway and speed up, the temperature drops back to normal. Took it to a random garage near my area, they pressure tested the system, said everything was fine and charged me for "coolant top up" which solved nothing. I'm no mechanic but this feels like a fan issue or maybe the thermostat is lazy, something that only shows up when there's no airflow. Anyway a colleague at work told me he gets his car sorted at a certified car mechanic service in Sharjah and has never had a comeback, so I'm tempted to try them instead of wasting more money on guesswork. Before I do though I wanted to ask if anyone here has dealt with overheating that only happens in traffic, and what it turned out to be? I just don't want to keep throwing parts at it blindly.
