Gearbox clunks when going from reverse to drive, anyone else?
Every morning when I switch from reverse to drive there's this clunk that I can feel through the whole car, and it's been getting a bit more noticeable over the last month or so. It doesn't do it once everything's warmed up, which is what's confusing me, because it makes me wonder if I'm imagining it or if it's just a cold start thing. I've started parking nose out so I don't have to reverse in the mornings, which is a bit sad honestly. A colleague mentioned bmw-garage.ae/gearbox-and-transmission-repair when I was moaning about it at lunch, so I'm going to have a proper look this weekend. But I'd really like to hear from anyone who's had this exact symptom. Was it the mount, the fluid, or something worse? And did you get it sorted before it turned into a bigger job? I'm trying not to catastrophise but I also don't want to leave it too late.
